Product Marketing Manager/Optical Ethernet

IPITEK, a leading manufacturer of Broadband networking products, is searching for an Optical Ethernet Product Marketing Manager to champion and promote IPITEK’s Advanced Optical Ethernet Product Line.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert in Carrier Ethernet technologies and market trends, especially new standards work at MEF, IEEE and ITU as it relates to Carrier Ethernet.
  • Conducting competitive analysis.
  • Work with product management on launch plans and strategies.
  • Help product management in developing and managing product line roadmap.
  • Articulate product strengths, positioning, messaging and selling strategies.
  • Preparation of sales and marketing collateral.
  • Investigate new sales channels and / or market segments.

Applications Engineer/Network Consultant

Brief Description
The Network Consultant is responsible for pre-sales technical support for the IPITEK sales force and for selected customers, respectively. This will include but not limited to keeping in close contact with strategic customers, Product Line Management, and Business Development. In particular, this position will focus attention and support on the HBR2500, and MSP family of Video Centric products based on open architectures.

Responsibilities
Conceptual studies of (future) network architectures and functionalities
Network calculations: network planning, routing of multiple services through given network architectures, quantity structures with respect to equipment needed
Specification functionalities of future releases, interface between customers and Strategic Product Development
Support of strategic customers: general technical consulting, network optimization, network planning
Business cases, e.g. IPITEK solutions vs. competitive or alternate solutions
Competitors and market analysis Training: Give technical training on network concepts, competitors, and customers' requirements to sales, PLM, and where appropriate, to R&D. Also product training (architecture review) to customers, channel partners and service providers

Requirements
In-depth knowledge of SONET / SDH, 10GigE, and IP protocols and technology, switches and routers as well as knowledge of WDM-based networks and Video / data-centric networks / LANs (IP, SONET/ SDH) beneficial.
Minimum of 5 years experience with network providers, data center, or telecom / router equipment suppliers,
Strong Ethernet layer 2 and layer 3 knowledge including router configurations (Juniper, Cisco core router experience beneficial).

Strong Communication skills, both spoken and written
Strong math skills beneficial for network design calculations
Readiness to travel. Strong ability for self sufficiency, work's well with sales persons and ability to work in busy office setting.
College Degree in math or science field (engineering preferred)

We are seeking a hands on Marketing Specialist (Manager, Director, VP level) for the CATV product sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Product Management and Product Marketing and strategic direction planning with a solid understanding of MSO and data networks. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead the Engineering Department with product direction and product definition is a must. The ability to support sales efforts and converse with customers on all levels from Corporate Headquarters to individual Engineers is also required. This position also drives the branding efforts of the company and leads the team in development of marketing collateral. Trade show planning and organization are led from this position as well.

This is a senior level position and the candidate should have 10+ years of experience in the either the Cable, Telecom or broadcaster environment. A BSEE is preferred and an MBA or equivalent experience is desired.

Job Description

We are seeking a Processing and Optical Engineer to perform microelectronic lab processing and some optical measurements and packaging. RF Engineer

We are searching for an RF Engineer who will contribute to our dynamic organization and help build a world class, high-tech manufacturing operation. The position will be an integral part of our Digital Transport/Fiber Optic Engineering Division. Specific job duties include:

  • Responsible for circuit-, board-, circuit simulation/analysis, and system-level design of electronic products and systems. Emphasis on products and systems for use in RF/Analog and Digital Broadband communications and fiber optic-based communications.
  • Responsible for product design specifications, captured circuit designs, mechanical interface support, design review, bread-boarding, prototype development, project schedule/updates, and design verification.
